* lisp/textmodes/emacs-authors-mode.el (subr-x): Require.
(emacs-authors-mode): Use above renamed function.

* lisp/textmodes/emacs-news-mode.el (subr-x): Require.
(emacs-news--mode-common): Call 'emacs-etc--hide-local-variables'
to hide local variables section.
